About Our Family

The Leadership Institute at Harvard College (LIHC) is a student organization devoted to fostering the awareness, skills, and values of leadership among Harvard undergraduates. LIHC aims to inspire and empower students to fulfill their leadership potential at Harvard, in their communities, and in their world.

Our Vision
Students from Harvard University develop, practice, and promote leadership in their lives and the world.

How We Do It
LIHC provides and promotes leadership development opportunities in six specific programs. The Leadership Development Initiative hosts speaker events and panels on campus; the Social Outreach Committee teaches leadership and life skills to middle school students at local Boston schools; the Harvard Leadership Magazine is a bi-annual publication by LIHC that showcases leadership lessons, interviews with students and distinguished professionals, as well a directory of leadership resources on campus; the Strategic Development Committee provides strategic and financial support to initiatives in each committee; Harvard Leads provides skill-building workshops to underclassmen at Harvard. Youth Lead the Change teaches leadership conferences to high schoolers across the globe.
